So, just who is the "Big Meow"?

Alright, first things first.  What's the story on the name?

I got the name Big Meow from my mother-in-law, back when my wife and I were still dating in mid-2007.

We'd play Diablo 2 online together and meow at each other (thanks to my meeting her super cute and silly kitty cat), while chatting over MSN's voice chat.

One time, her mother Kay asked her, "Is that the Big Meow you're talking to?" and I was like, "What'd she call me?  'The Big Meow??'" And then after pondering it for a minute or so, I was like, "Hmmm...I like it! I love it!  It's silly, it's clever, it's...me!"

So that's been my nickname ever since!  Thank you, Kay!!!

I also go by Bradford as well, in case anyone's curious.

Okay.  So who am I, then?

I'm a husband of fourteen years with my beloved wife, and a father of three special needs kids who will probably teach me and help me grow up and mature as a human being a whole lot more than I could ever hope to teach any of them.  They drive me crazy, but I love them anyways! :)

I'm an IT professional of 17 years with a background in software development and engineering, and a lifelong gamer.  I've been playing video games way before they were ever considered "in", thus I am a fully-fledged nerd!  Thankfully, ever since I discovered that I could draw back in mid-2014, I created a lot of drawings and paintings from my passion for video games, which let me embrace and enjoy being a nerd more than ever!

I'm a devoted and grateful believer in Jesus Christ since the summer of 2004, and he and he alone has held me together through all of the adventures and misadventures of life I've been on ever since then!

Why did I create the blog site?

People have always told me that I have a knack for expressing myself and conveying my emotions and my thoughts clearly and powerfully in my writing.  This is whether I share my personal journal with someone, a study guide I write on how to program in a specific language or use a specific software tool, or just whenever I'm just speaking to the public.

So, I figured, why not open up a personal blog site where I can share my thoughts, ideas and passions, and get feedback from the other members on the site?

I also figured with my learning how to do Bible study and dig deeper into Scripture, we can share our insights and experiences with one another as I go through the "Big Meow's Bible Journey!" blog that started this whole thing.  I don't know everything, nor am I going to pretend to.  Therefore, I want to make this an open forum for sharing ideas and thoughts with one another on God, his Word, and who he is!

And in case you were still curious...

And, if you are in the mood to nerd out with me some time, come check out my other blogs here too on gaming, art, being a father, and whatever else I'm in the mood to share with on this site!

For now, you can find my artwork page on the menu at the top, and my Playstation Network profile below:
